Indian Education Grant

Title IX-Indian Education

The Indian Education Formula Grant Program is designed to assist local educational agencies (LEAs) to improve students' achievement in elementary and secondary programs for their American Indian students. These funds are based on students head count and tribal enrollment. Grant objectives can range from reading, to math, to Native Language. It must, however, support a state standard in one of the core subjects. This School District has chosen to direct Title IX funds toward its Native Language and culture program, which is directly connected to the foreign language standards.
