Process of Inclusion In After-School Enrichment Program
1) Student is recommended by a teacher or a parent
2) Recommending teacher or parent is given a gifted characteristics checklist and fills it out and returns the checklist to the gifted coordinator, Andrea Gilbertson
3) Parent consent is given through submission of 'Parent Consent Form' for formal assessment of child for gifts and talents
4) Student is assessed using the following instruments:
• Raven Matrices
• Aurora Battery
5) Results of student assessments are reviewed for inclusion
6) Student and parent are notified of results
